Artificial Intelligence and Women Leaders: Our Impact on Teaching, Learning, and Research

Activity: Talk or presentationOral presentation

Description

This lecture explores how artificial intelligence is transforming academic work and the role that women leaders play in this development. The lecture is divided into two main parts:

The Reality: An overview of how AI is actually used in academic work today—from idea generation and literature searching to scholarly analysis, writing, and reference management. The main AI tools used by researchers and students are introduced, along with the opportunities and challenges they bring.

The Responsibility: A discussion of ethical and professional issues, including critical thinking, the reliability of AI tools, the risk of AI hallucinations, the importance of transparency, policy development, data protection, and bias in language models. Emphasis is placed on the need for women leaders to guide this development by setting clear rules, strengthening AI literacy, and promoting responsible education.

The lecture underscores that artificial intelligence is both an opportunity and a challenge, and that educational leaders must ensure that the technology is used in an ethical and transparent way.
