I organised this graduate conference at the Comparative Literature Department at UB and moderated one of the panels. Elisabeth Anker, Professor of American Studies and Political Science at the George Washington University and Director of the Film Studies Program, gave the keynote address. Other presenters came from universities in the US, Canada, Iceland and Turkey.
