Poster about Icelandic natural language data is the basis for realistic multimodal behaviour exhibited by conversational agents in Virtual Reykjavik, which is a language- and culture training application. Two communicative functions are introduced: the explicit announcement of presence (EAP) for opening a conversation between strangers and multimodal clarification requests (CRs) for responding to problem in communication.
