These slides present the application of the MUSIC model as a framework to enhance student motivation, engagement, and achievement. The model includes five core components that foster intrinsic motivation: Empowerment, Usefulness, Success, Interest, and Caring.
The slides explain how each component can be reflected in the learning environment and how instructors can design instruction to support them. It includes validation of the Icelandic version of the MUSIC model questionnaire and findings from an online student survey in the course OSS111f at the University of Iceland. Practical resources and tools are introduced to support implementation of the model in higher education teaching.
