The objective of the Department of Aquaculture and Fish Biology is to build and share knowledge in aquatic biology, aquaculture, and fish biology. The Department functions as an international centre for research and higher education in these fields, with a clear focus on sustainable aquaculture.
Its work is characterised by a close connection between research and teaching, strong cooperation with other universities and institutes and long-standing ties to the industry. Students are offered flexibility in shaping their own study pathways.
