Abstract

The aim of the article is to introduce and discuss findings related to cultural and religious diversity and tolerance from a quantitative study on young people’s life views and life values in Iceland. The article addresses findings on the attitudes of young people in Iceland toward cultural and religious diversity and the significance of religion. It explores whether there is a difference in the attitudes of participants by gender, age, whether they belong to a religious organization, their residence in Iceland and the education of their parents. The findings are useful for educational as well as social policy.
