Abstract

This study assessed the effects of two-year reading
instruction, including Peer-Assisted Learning Strategies
(PALS), on 62 at-risk children’s oral reading fluency and
reading comprehension skills in Iceland with a randomized
group design. Results indicated that at-risk children receiving
PALS performed significantly higher on all measures than the
control group.
