Icelandic Youth, Television and the Outside World

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

In this paper an attempt is made, through a longitudinal analysis of one survey question among Icelandic youths, to test the correspondence between television use and orientation to the outside world and to throw some light on the cultivating effects of the media. Although the results are ambiguous, a clear trend towards an increasingly international outlook among the respondents is observed.
