N2 - This paper proposes a penalty-based regularization for improved-reliability parameter tuning of multi-band antennas. The regularization term complements the standard objective function (e.g., minimax) to facilitate relocation of the antenna operating frequencies to the target values using local search routines. Numerical verification carried out using a triple-band dipole antenna demonstrates the efficacy of the approach as compared to the conventional formulation.
