Rural Education in the North Research Project (REN): Consortium Meeting

Members of the "Rural Education in the North" (REN) project met in person for the first time during the first week of December 2025.

The REN project is a core research and networking project for the Thematic Network for Teacher Education for Social Justice and Diversity and is funded through the UArctic Danish Funding for Networking Activities.

Members of the network from Greenland, The Faroe Islands, Canada, Alaska, Iceland, Finland and the UK will undertake small-scale research case studies in cooperation with local educational practitioners in each of these education policy contexts to examine distinctive aspects of education provision across the circumpolar North. The consortium hope to publish both an edited academic book and also an online resource for practitioners by the end of the project.
