Irish feminist academic, activist, performance poet, and former medical doctor, now living in Iceland. Completed Irish Research Council-funded Creative Writing PhD in UCC (2019), and currently teaches remotely on the Women's Studies MA programme there. In 2013 and again in 2021 received highly prestigious Irish Arts Council Literature Bursaries for creative excellence: other commendations include Hippocrates Prize, Ivan Juritz Prize longlist, UK Poetry Society National Prize longlist.
Extensive experience in community activism including experimental creative and intersectional activism.
Diagnosed as Autistic late 2019: currently conducting postdoctoral research on creatively addressing barriers to neurodiverse creative and research excellence in the University of Iceland, with the support of an Icelandic Research Fund Postdoctoral Fellowship Grant (project no. 239667-051)
